Event DetailsSecond Season Baseball League General Information
The SSBL is a league designed for competitive tournament baseball teams and rec league teams.
The SSBL will be held at Fareway Fields (Norwalk) and Holiday Park (West Des Moines).
The SSBL will be sanctioned by Iowa USSSA Baseball.
The SSBL will be officiated by Iowa USSSA baseball umpires.
League Structure
All teams playing SSBL will be provided 8 games (no season ending tournament).
Game length will be as follows:
- 7U – 1 hour 15 minutes
- 8U – 1 hour 30 minutes
- 9U-14U – 1 hour 40 minutes
Umpires
- 7U-10U – one umpire
- 11U-14U – two umpires
Game Schedule
Games played Monday through Thursday.
League play begins the week of July 7th and end the week of August 11th weather permitting.
Weeknight League play game times are 5:40pm, 7:00pm (7U and 8U), 7:20pm (7U and 8U) and 7:30pm.
Miscellaneous
Each team is responsible for bringing 2 game balls to each game. Game balls must be non or slightly used regulation leather baseballs. Teams may retain the balls at the conclusion of each game
Each site is responsible for its own communication (rainout etc.).

11U-14U – $1345 + tax + online processing fee
7U-10U – $1145 + tax + online processing fee
7U-14U Free Agent – $155 + tax + online processing fee
